Damit dies geschehen kann, leistet die Autorin einen Beitrag, indem sie mit vielen weit verbreiteten Unklarheiten und Missverständnissen hinsichtlich dieser ernstzunehmenden Heilkunde aufräumt und erläutert, warum die vielen bei uns angebotenen Kurse und „Ausbildungen“, auf deren Basis nicht nur Laien, sondern auch vielfach Heilpraktiker und Ärzte Ayurveda-Behandlungen anbieten, völlig unzureichend sind, um das hochkomplexe ayurvedische Medizinsystem auch nur annähernd zu verstehen, geschweige denn, diese Heilkunde qualifiziert ausüben zu können.

Sie zeigt auf, wie ein wirklich fundiertes Studium des Ayurveda beschaffen sein muss und wo man ein solches absolvieren oder auch eine den medizinischen Standards des authentischen Ayurveda entsprechende Behandlung erhalten kann. Darüber hinaus vermittelt sie dem interessierten Leser einen ersten Einblick in verschiedene Fachgebiete der ayurvedischen Medizin, wie sie in Indien gelehrt wird.
