Sowohl gegenwärtig als auch zukünftig spielen hierbei agile Methoden eine wichtige Rolle und lösen die klassische oft bürokratische und daher starre Vorgehensweise der Softwareentwicklung durch eine “schlankere“ und damit flexiblere ab. Dass die „Wunderwaffe“ für die Softwareentwicklung auch heutzutage noch nicht gefunden wurde, zeigen zahlreiche, wenn auch nur teilweise gescheiterte Großprojekte wie die LKW-Maut.
