Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2000 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte, Note: 1, Universität Osnabrück, Veranstaltung: Staatlichkeit und Demokratie, 6 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Kontinuität in der Ausarbeitung der Staatstheorie von Friedrich Engels und Karl Marx zu Lenin wird besonders deutlich in der Schrift von Lenin „Staat und Revolution“, die er unmittelbar vor der Oktoberrevolution im August 1917 verfasst hat. In ihr legt er u. a. unter Berufung auf Analysen von Marx und Engels seine Theorien über die Funktion von Regierungen und deren Rechtssysteme dar und diskutiert die Notwendigkeit des Aufbaus eines proletarischen Diktaturstaats, der in einem lang andauernden Prozess das „Einschlafen“ jedweder Staatlichkeit und somit das „Absterben des Staates“ einleitet, an dessen Ende die Geburt einer vollkommenen kommunistischen Gesellschaft ohne jeglichen Staat im eigentlichen Sinne steht.

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird nun anhand der folgenden Leitfragen versucht, auf diese Theorien bezüglich der Funktion und des Wesens des Staats aus der Sicht von Lenin näher einzugehen und die wichtigen Aspekte zu thematisieren:

a) Wodurch sind Staaten zustande gekommen?
b) Was ist das Ergebnis der politischen Revolution?
c) Was ist das Ergebnis des Prozesses, der nach Lenin, nach der politischen Revolution in Gang gesetzt wird, und was ist die „Diktatur des Proletariats“?

Im ersten Teil der Arbeit wird auf die Entstehung des Staats eingegangen und dessen Rolle in der bürgerlichen Gesellschaft thematisiert. Der zweite Teil beschäftigt sich mit der Rolle der bürgerlichen Demokratie als Organ der Klassenversöhnung. Im letzten Teil werden dann die Phasen, die nach der politischen Revolution eintreten und schließlich das „Einschlafen“ des Staats einleiten, eingehend erläutert.
