Auch wenn dies eine plakative Forderung war, stellt sich die Frage: Wäre diese Forderung auch, seitens des Pflegepersonals möglich? Möglich sicherlich, denn das Pflegepersonal hat ebenso mit sich verschlechternden Arbeitsbedingungen zu kämpfen, ist demselben Kostendruck wie auch das übrigen die Gesundheitsberufe ausgesetzt. Doch wäre die Pflege ebenso mobilisierbar? Wer würde überhaupt für die Pflege in Verhandlungen treten? Welche Standesvertreter gibt es und warum scheint die Pflege keine rechte Stimme in der Öffentlichkeit zu haben? Mit diesen Fragen befasst sich diese Hausarbeit. Es geht darum, zu klären in wie weit die größte Berufsgruppe im Gesundheitswesen organisiert ist, welche Hemmschwellen es gibt und warum man in der Öffentlichkeit nur von der Pflege hört wenn es um Horrormeldungen in Fernsehberichten oder in Büchern wie „Abgezockt und Totgepflegt“ geht. Warum hört und liest man nichts über das was die Pflege leistet? Würden alle Pflegenden, nur für einen ganzen Tag, streiken, so würden über eine Millionen Pflegekräfte kämpfen können und damit das gesamte Gesundheitssystem kurzzeitig arbeitsunfähig machen, doch warum passiert dies nicht? Der erste Teil der Arbeit befasst sich mit der Pflege selbst und klärt den zukünftigen Bedarf an Pflegeleistungen. Ebenfalls geht es um das „Gut“ Gesundheit und welche unterschiedlichen Interessenlagen es von Seiten der Akteure gibt. Im zweiten Teil werden die Machtverhältnisse geklärt und einen Einblick in die historische Entwicklung der Berufsgruppen gegeben, dabei werden insbesondere der pflegerische und der ärztliche Berufstand verglichen. Abschließend wird im dritten Teil geklärt warum Pflegende noch immer so wenig in Berufsverbänden, Standesorganisationen und Gewerkschaften organisiert sind. Ebenfalls wird versucht aufzuzeigen, welche Möglichen Auswege es aus dieser Sprachlosigkeit gibt.
